WCAG 2.2 accessibility audits
A thorough audit of your website or service against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, tested by hand and with assistive technology, with clear, prioritised fixes your developers can act on straight away.
Why audit
Know exactly where you stand
Automated checkers only find some accessibility problems. Many of the issues that stop people using a website, such as confusing focus order, unlabelled controls, inaccessible error messages or content that only makes sense visually, need a person to find them.
An audit tells you which WCAG success criteria you meet, which you fail, how serious each failure is, and how to fix it. It is also the evidence you need for an honest accessibility statement.
What is included
Every full audit includes
Manual WCAG 2.2 testing
Each page and template in scope checked against all 55 Level A and AA success criteria.
Assistive technology testing
Key journeys tested with screen readers such as NVDA and VoiceOver, keyboard only, zoom and text spacing.
Automated scanning
Automated checks across your templates to catch repeated issues at scale, with false positives filtered out.
Prioritised report
Every issue with its WCAG reference, where it occurs, who it affects, how severe it is and how to fix it, with code examples.
Walkthrough call
I take your team through the findings, answer questions and help you plan the fixes.
Retest
Once fixes are in, I retest the failed criteria and update the report, ready for your accessibility statement.

Questions
Audit FAQs
WCAG 2.2 Level AA by default. It includes everything in WCAG 2.1, and it is the standard UK public sector websites are monitored against. I can also test against Level AAA criteria on request.
No. Automated tools are useful for catching repeated issues, but they cannot judge whether alt text is meaningful, whether focus order makes sense or whether a screen reader user can complete a form. Those need manual testing.
It depends on how many templates and journeys are in scope. You will get a fixed scope and timeline before any work starts.
No. I audit any website or web application. Drupal sites also get platform-specific recommendations covering the theme, CKEditor, Views, forms and contributed modules.
Yes. I can fix them directly, review your developers' fixes, or a mix of both.
