Digital accessibility

Find out where your website stops disabled people from getting things done, fix it properly, and give your team the skills to keep it accessible.

Why it matters

Accessibility is a legal duty and a better service

Disabled people use the web with screen readers, magnifiers, voice control, switches and keyboards. When a site is built without them in mind, they cannot book, apply, pay or find information, and they go elsewhere.

In the UK, public sector bodies must meet the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 and publish an accessibility statement, and their websites are monitored against WCAG 2.2. Every service provider has duties under the Equality Act 2010, and businesses selling into the EU may also need to meet the European Accessibility Act.
