I've kept it short because the site collects very little. ### Who I am 8ManJ Technologies Ltd is the controller of personal information collected through this website. Registered in England and Wales, company number 10424859. Registered address: 36 Blandford Avenue, Long Eaton, Nottingham, NG10 3LG. For anything about your personal information, email [info@8manj.co.uk](mailto:info@8manj.co.uk). ### What I collect and why #### When you contact me The [contact form](https://8manj.co.uk/contact) asks for your name, email address and message, and optionally your organisation, phone number, website and the kind of help you need. I use this only to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to prepare a quote or proposal. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (answering enquiries about my services) or, where you're asking about working together, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Messages are stored on the website for 12 months and then deleted automatically. A copy is emailed to my business mailbox. If we go on to work together, project correspondence is kept for up to 6 years after the work ends, for accounting and legal records; otherwise I delete enquiry emails within 2 years. #### Analytics (only if you accept) If you accept analytics cookies, the site uses Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people find the site, so I can improve it. Google Analytics collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, and how you arrived. I can't use it to identify you. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the **Cookie settings** link at the bottom of every page. If you reject or withdraw consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and its cookies are deleted. Google acts as my data processor. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Analytics data is kept for [14 months] and then deleted. Google may process the data in the United States, under the UK–US Data Bridge and Google's data processing terms. #### Security and technical logs To protect the site from spam and attacks, it records the IP address of failed login attempts and blocked spam submissions. These records are deleted automatically within days. My hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security, for a limited period. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (keeping the website secure). ### Cookies The site uses as few cookies as possible: - **m8_cookie_consent**: remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Essential. Expires after 1 year. - **_ga** and **_ga_37B9VEG622**: Google Analytics, to distinguish visitors and visits. Only set if you accept analytics cookies. Expire after 2 years. - **SESS…**: keeps site administrators logged in. Essential, and only set for people who log in. Deleted when the browser closes. You can change your choice at any time using the **Cookie settings** link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser. ### Who I share it with I don't sell your information or share it for marketing. It is only handled by the services that run the site and my email: - [Hosting provider name]: website hosting, UK. - [Email provider name]: business email. - Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC: analytics, only if you accept. Each acts on my instructions under a data processing agreement. I'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and let you know the outcome.
